Cooper Parry Finance Recruitment are recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a well‑established and growing business operating within the specialist equipment and services sector, based in Angus. This organisation, which supports projects across the UK and internationally, is within easy commuting distance of Montrose, Arbroath and Brechin.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop their management accounting experience and contribute to monthly reporting across a multi‑entity business. The company offers study support for ACCA/CIMA, and is currently undergoing systems improvement projects, providing the opportunity to gain exposure within the finance team.
The Role:
Reporting to the Finance Manager you will have play a varied role across the finance function. Your experience doesn't have to tick every box, but a willingness to learn is crucial!
Responsibilities include but are not limited too:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts (profit & loss and balance sheet preparation)
- Process journals including prepayments & accruals & balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with statutory reporting requirements for the business
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
- Credit control procedures & payroll (full training will be provided)
- Bank reporting including bank reconciliations
- Daily cash monitoring and reporting
- Preparation and submission of purchase ledger & sales invoices for international subsidiaries and any other duties required
The candidate:
You will ideally have an accountancy qualification (degree, HND, AAT, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA) and a broad accountancy knowledge and understanding. You will have excellent communication skills and an ability to work well with a range of stakeholders, both in the UK and internationally. You will have strong IT skills and proven experience including Excel & Sage.
What's on offer:
- Salary range is £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience

- 3pm finish on a Friday
