Glasgow (Hybrid Working)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Credit Controller to join a well-established global organisation on a 6-month fixed-term contract. Working within a busy finance function, you will play a key role in managing customer accounts, reducing aged debt, and maintaining strong relationships with clients across the US market.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively managing a portfolio of customer accounts
  • Chasing outstanding debt through telephone and email communication
  • Investigating and resolving customer payment queries
  • Maintaining accurate customer account records
  • Reconciling accounts and allocating cash receipts
  • Monitoring aged debt and escalating issues where appropriate
  • Building effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting month-end reporting and other ad hoc finance activities
  • Ensuring all collection activities are completed in line with company policies and procedures

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Previous credit control experience
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • The ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Experience working within a fast-paced finance environment
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and finance systems
  • A proactive and results-driven approach

Working Pattern

This role operates on a shift pattern of:

  • 2 days per week: 9:00am – 5:30pm
  • 3 days per week: 11:30am – 8:00pm

Hybrid working is available, with one day per week in the Glasgow office during the early shift.
