Finance Business Partner, 6-month contract

Our client is a Fife-based organisation dedicated to delivering high-quality services and driven by a strong social purpose. We are currently recruiting a Finance Business Partner to join their team in a 6-month contract, to play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy and supporting informed decision-making across the organisation.  This role has been created during a time of positive growth to support the Finance Manager and wider finance team.  You will work closely with senior leaders and contribute to projects that drive growth and efficiency.

The Opportunity

As Finance Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing financial insight and analysis to support strategic objectives. Your role will be varied and impactful, including:

  • Delivering proactive business partnering to help key stakeholders set realistic financial targets and identify opportunities for growth and cost optimisation.
  • Preparing and presenting financial reports, including budget variances and forecasts, to assist decision-making.
  • Assisting stakeholders with cost analysis, scenario modelling and tenders to support new business opportunities
  • Supporting the planning and implementation of annual budgets and financial models, including sensitivity analysis.
  • Supervise the processing of all creditor payments, debtor receipts, accruals and prepayments 
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance practice and knowledge.
  • Supporting the preparation for internal and external audits 

The Candidate

We are looking for a commercially aware, qualified accountant (or equivalent experience) with strong technical and interpersonal skills. You will bring:

  • A proven track record in management accounting and business partnering with an ability to analyse and interpret data, produce detailed reports, and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations, VAT rules, and data protection requirements.
  • High standards of accuracy, numeracy, and problem-solving ability.
