Cooper Parry is delighted to be recruiting on an exclusive basis for a well known and highly respected Global business based in Dundee for a permanent Finance Business Partner. This role is critical in shaping and delivering the organisations financial and commercial strategy. The position offers a highly competitive package including 37 days annual leave, bonus, enhanced pension and hybrid working (a minimum of 2 days a week in the office).
The Opportunity
You will be a trusted adviser and a strategic challenger who will partner closely with the Executive, Senior Leadership teams and Operational functions to help drive sustainable, profitable revenue growth, optimise investment decisions, and enhance commercial performance across the group.
Key Responsibilities
- Finance business partner with Executive members and Senior Leadership Teams to help drive strategy, challenge assumptions, and drive commercially sound decision-making
- Act as a trusted commercial advisor, influencing key decisions on investment, cost optimisation, and growth opportunities
- Develop and monitor revenue and cost KPI metrics, with a dedicated focus on monitoring and managing functional spend
- Deliver high-impact financial insights, translating complex data into clear, concise recommendations that drive business outcomes
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities, ensuring timely intervention and accountability across the leadership team
- Lead the development and evolution of commercial KPIs and performance frameworks, aligning metrics to strategic priorities
- Drive investment appraisal and decision support, including scenario modelling, ROI analysis, and post-investment review
- Drive accurate revenue and cost forecasting as part of the group's monthly / quarterly / rolling forecast process
- Help drive the budget process, ensuring key targets are met in line with the business planning timetable
- Focus on continuous improvement across finance and business processes, identifying and eliminating inefficiencies and enhancing scalability
- Enhance reporting and analytics capabilities, leveraging automation and BI tools to enable real-time, decision-ready insight
The Candidate
What will make you succesful
- Professional accountancy qualification is preferred (CIMA, ACCA, ICAS or equivalent) but not essential
- Proven track record of strategic financial business partnering with Executive Teams and Senior Management
- Demonstrated ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders, driving better business outcomes
- Financial modelling and scenario analysis capability, with the ability to translate outputs into clear business actions
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience influencing strategic decision making, investment proposals, cost optimisation and growth initiatives
- Experience leading or contributing to strategic planning, transformation, or change initiatives
- Strong data and analytics capability, with experience leveraging tools such as Power BI to deliver actionable insight
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distil complexity into clear, compelling narrative
- Highly collaborative, building trusted relationships whilst constructively challenging where required
