Management Accountant - Perth

Cooper Parry Finance Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting on an exclusive basis for a permanent Management Accountant to join our established client based in Perth. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, values-driven environment. This position offers a varied role covering financial and management accounting and would suit individuals from both Practice or industry. Salary is up to £45,000 + 36 days annual leave, hybrid working (1 day a week from home) and an early finish on a Friday. This is also the potential for part time for the right individual with flexibility on days worked and start and finish times.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in the delivery of monthly management accounts, cashflow forecasting and VAT submissions, whilst supporting ongoing business initiatives and finance projects and supervising a busy transactional finance team.

This hands-on role will be well-suited to a pro-active Accountant who can manage a busy and varied workload to tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts including variance analysis
  • Weekly cashflow forecasting
  • Weekly KPI reporting
  • Manage VAT returns
  • Balance sheet reconciliations 
  • Oversee daily accounting operations across payroll, purchase ledge and income processing 
  • Support the Head of Finance with ongoing projects and process improvements
  • Staff mentoring including training and support

The Candidate 

You will be Qualified, Part-Qualified or Qualified by experience accountant with strong experience preparing management accounts.  You will ideally have experience in staff supervision or mentoring but this is not essential. You must be able to manage priorities and achieve reporting deadlines.   Experience using Sage software would be advantageous.  You will be a confident accountant with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail. 

There is opportunity to develop within this role, taking on more responsibilities around budgeting, forecasting and projects.  This role would suit someone who embraces learning and is adaptable.
