We are recruiting on behalf of a progressive and growing organisation seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their established team based in Glasgow city centre.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who is looking to further develop their expertise within a supportive and forward-thinking environment. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will play an integral role in delivering accurate and timely payroll services while gaining exposure to wider payroll activities, including international payroll processes where required.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Processing payroll accurately and efficiently in line with agreed deadlines
- Managing payroll queries from employees and wider stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with UK payroll legislation and internal procedures
- Maintaining payroll records and employee data
- Supporting year-end payroll activities, submissions and reporting requirements
- Assisting with payroll reconciliations and audit requests
- Contributing to process improvements and payroll best practice initiatives
- Providing support across global payroll activities when required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous end-to-end payroll experience
- A sound understanding of UK payroll legislation and processes
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- The ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Exposure to international or global payroll processes would be advantageous but is not essential
