Payroll Specialist (6-Week Temporary Contract)

Location: Glasgow City Centre (Hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 from home)
Employment Type: 6-week temporary contract


About the Role

Our client, a well-established organisation based in Glasgow city centre, is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support the team on a 6-week temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident payroll professional who can quickly add value in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate must be confident using SAGE Payroll and able to manage payroll processes with minimal supervision.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing using SAGE
  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time
  • Maintain compliance with UK tax legislation and statutory requirements
  • Process starters, leavers, and payroll amendments
  • Handle payroll queries from employees and stakeholders
  • Reconcile payroll reports and maintain accurate records

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing
  • Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with SAGE Payroll (essential)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK payroll legislation
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
