Payroll Specialist (6-Week Temporary Contract)
Location: Glasgow City Centre (Hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 from home)
Employment Type: 6-week temporary contract
About the Role
Our client, a well-established organisation based in Glasgow city centre, is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support the team on a 6-week temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident payroll professional who can quickly add value in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate must be confident using SAGE Payroll and able to manage payroll processes with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing using SAGE
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time
- Maintain compliance with UK tax legislation and statutory requirements
- Process starters, leavers, and payroll amendments
- Handle payroll queries from employees and stakeholders
- Reconcile payroll reports and maintain accurate records
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing
- Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with SAGE Payroll (essential)
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK payroll legislation
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
