Are you an experienced Payroll professional who has led large-scale process improvement, operating model redesign or finance transformation initiatives?
We are supporting a well-known international organisation as they embark on a significant transformation programme, creating an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Workstream Lead to shape the future of global payroll operations. This is a highly visible role where you'll take ownership of the design and delivery of payroll transformation initiatives, driving standardisation, efficiency and best practice across a complex international business.
The Opportunity
Reporting into the Finance Transformation leadership team, you'll lead the payroll workstream, defining the future operating model, identifying improvement opportunities and delivering change initiatives that enhance payroll processes, controls and performance across multiple territories.
You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, project teams and SMEs to ensure payroll processes are standardised, scalable and fit for purpose, while supporting wider transformation and ERP-related programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of a future-state global payroll operating model.
- Develop and deliver the payroll transformation roadmap.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls and service delivery.
- Establish payroll KPIs, governance frameworks and performance measures.
- Define process standards and ensure consistency across the organisation.
- Act as the payroll subject matter expert on major transformation and technology projects.
- Manage risks, dependencies and stakeholder engagement across the workstream.
- Drive change management and communication activities to support adoption.
About You

- Strong payroll leadership experience within large, complex organisations.
- Proven experience delivering payroll transformation, shared services or operating model change programmes.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations, payroll platform migrations or large-scale process improvement initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into delivery plans.
- Strong project, programme or workstream leadership capability.
- A continuous improvement approach with a focus on efficiency and best practice.
