Accounts Payable Manager
Glasgow (Hybrid – 2–3 days in the office)
£55,000 – £60,000
6-month Fixed Term Contract (with strong potential to extend or become permanent)
We’re delighted to be supporting a well-established and growing organisation in Glasgow to recruit an experienced Accounts Payable Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing finance function during a period of change and transformation, where you will play a key role in driving process improvements and leading a busy AP team.
This role is initially offered on a 6-month FTC, however there is clear scope for extension or a permanent opportunity for the right individual.
The Role
As Accounts Payable Manager, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end AP function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier payments while driving efficiencies across processes and controls.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading, mentoring and developing a team within the Accounts Payable function
- Overseeing the full AP cycle, from invoice processing through to payment runs
- Ensuring strong financial controls, compliance and governance across AP processes
- Managing supplier relationships and resolving escalations effectively
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across systems, automation and workflows
- Supporting month-end activities including reconciliations and reporting
- Collaborating with wider finance and operational teams to improve end-to-end processes
About You
We’re keen to speak with experienced Accounts Payable professionals who can bring both operational expertise and leadership capability.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience operating at Accounts Payable Manager or senior supervisory level
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end AP processes and controls
- Experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced environment
- A track record of driving process improvements or transformation initiatives
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
