Our client is a highly regarded and growing Law Accountancy firm with a strong reputation across Scotland and a supportive, collaborative working environment. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join their office team and provide administrative and typing support to experienced Law Accountants.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent school leaver or someone looking to begin their career within a professional office environment. Full training will be provided, allowing the successful candidate to develop a broad range of administration and typing skills while working closely with colleagues across the business.
The role has been designed to create a multi-skilled team member, with responsibilities shared across both administration and typing functions. Initially, there will be a strong focus on audio typing to support the wider team, before progressing into a wider variety of office administration duties.
Key Responsibilties
- Providing day-to-day administrative support to the Law Accountancy team
- Audio typing correspondence, reports and legal/accountancy documentation
- Working closely with another office team member to provide shared administration and typing support
- Managing paperwork deliveries and collections (candidates must hold a full driving licence and have access to a car)
- Providing invoice typing support and indexing files
- Preparing documentation for scanning, filing and secure storage
- Handling confidential information and documents, including shredding and archiving
- Preparing auditor bundles for Law Accountants online
- Providing vouching support to the Law Accountancy team
- Sending follow-up emails and chasing outstanding information
- Maintaining online taxation diaries and other internal records
- Assisting with other ad hoc administration tasks as required
Background and Experience
- Recent school leavers are encouraged to apply
- Strong written communication skills with a high standard of spelling and grammar
- Good keyboard and computer skills
- Keen to learn and develop within a professional office environment
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues across a range of tasks
- Professional and discreet approach when handling confidential information
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel would be beneficial but is not essential

- Competitive salary of £26,000 - £29,000 per year
- 35-hour working week, Monday to Friday
